The short

Vancouver-based content strategist and copywriter with an MBA and experience creating content across 5+ industries, from B2B and technology to arts, recreation, wellness, and publishing.

The long

With a background in journalism and an MBA, I work across content strategy, copywriting, brand messaging, social media, email, SEO, campaigns, and community. My experience spans tech, B2B, arts and culture, recreation, wellness, and publishing, giving me a broad understanding of how different brands need to communicate with different audiences.

My work is focused on making content clearer, more effective, and easier to act on, from refining websites and developing campaigns to improving search visibility, planning content systems, and strengthening brand messaging. That work has contributed to strong email open rates, healthy registration numbers for digital and in-person events, active communities, high content engagement, and consistent search performance.

At the core of my approach is a mix of strategy, storytelling, and community, creating content that is commercially useful, creatively considered, and built to deepen brand affinity over time. Getting attention matters, but so does giving people a reason to come back, recommend the brand, and feel connected to what it is building.

BRAND VOICE

Your brand probably doesn’t need more content for the sake of content. It needs a clear point of view, consistent messaging, and the right ideas showing up in the right places. I develop content across the full customer journey, from the first search or social post to the email, landing page, event, or community experience that follows.

my content philosophy

The finished content is usually the smallest part of the work. I think of it as roughly 80% research and 20% execution, because the quality of the output depends on how well we understand the audience, the problem, the context, and the role the brand can genuinely play.

I’m not interested in making every interaction a sales pitch. I’d rather make something genuinely useful, earn their attention, and give them a reason to come back. That’s how brand affinity happens. Over time, an audience becomes a community, and a brand becomes something people actually want to have in their lives.

If you care about understanding people before marketing to them, solving real problems, contributing something worthwhile, and creating value before asking for the conversion, we’ll probably work very well together.
